Tutorial: Pom Flowers

This is really me second post on Pom Flowers... but when I last talked about them, I promised to post about it when I made some of my own.

I think these are going to look very pretty on my desk at work!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is what you need:

1. Yarn (I got these Red Heart balls at Michaels, they were only about $2 and it is a LOT of yarn. This is what I knitted my scarf from too)

2. Scissors

3. Hot glue

4. Sticks (I got mine from the back yard.. for free!)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1: Start wrapping the yarn around your fingers.

Keep wrapping until you have quite a large ball around your fingers.

Step 2: Slide the ball off of your hand and cut a smaller strip of yarn. Lay the ball of yarn on the string that you cut.

Step 3: Tie the string in a knot around the ball of yarn.

Step 4: Cut the loops of the yarn on each side.

Then you will have a yarn pom. (you might need to trim the yarn into a better shaped ball)

Step 5: Glue the pom onto stick stick.

Thats it! Once you have several done they will make a really cute arrangement for a desk or shelf.
