Tutorial: Pin Wheel Flower (easy)

Remember these flowers I put on my knitted ear warmer? This is one of my favorite fabric flowers to make. It is super easy, quick and no sewing is needed!

Here is what you will need:

1. Fabric. (any type of fabric will work)

2. Hot glue

3. Scissors

4. Pin, headband or hair clip. (whatever you are going to attach the flower to.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1. Cut the fabric into a 2" wide strip. Any length will work; the longer the length the larger the flower will be.

Step 2. Fold the strip of fabric in half and glue the end so that it stays.

Step 3. Start rolling the fabric into a spiral. (Keep the fabric folded in half the whole time)

While rolling the spiral, twist the fabric to the outside. This will give the flower some volume and make it soft looking. (I usually do 2-3 twists per full circle of the flower)

In order to hold the flower in place, use a dab of hot glue every so often as you roll it.

Step 4. Once the flower is the size you want, simply glue the rest of the fabric flat to the bottom of the flower. Use plenty of glue since this is what will mostly keep the whole flower in place.

Step 5. Glue your pin to the bottom.

That's it! These really do not take long to make and they are not hard. I love to wear them pinned to sweaters, or on a headband.
