1 Corinthians 13:4-8

This weekend I was doing a little watercolor painting on the front porch (more to come on this later) and before I finished I started doodling with the paint I had left.

Here is what I came up with. These words are from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 which is one of my favorite verses.

I framed this little work of art so that it can be displayed in our dining room and remind us daily to love one another the way the Lord loves us. All good things in life come from the Lord and love is no different. I felt like the Lord was trying to remind me of his love for me this afternoon as I sat o my porch in the beautiful Tennessee weather painting to my hearts desire. I didn't intend to really paint anything worth framing, I was working on a different project all together, but as my doodling turned into a scripture I knew it was the Lord who brought forth the inspiration. God is so good to us and I love when he uses our own talents and passions to glorify himself through us.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

"Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
