Not Your Average Christmas Wreath

I always love a good Christmas wreath. Wreaths are kind of a staple decoration when it comes to the Christmas season, kind of like pumpkins are to Halloween. However, just because wreaths are common, doesn't mean that have to be the same ole thing year after year. While traditional ones are definitely beautiful, there are lots of ways to get creative with your wreath this year.

I like this idea of using different kinds of greenery to make several small, thin wreaths to use together.

Ornament wreaths are fantastic! They are festive and can make for a really fun Christmas craft! Be sure to check back next week for a tutorial on how to make your own!

You could always make a wreath out of ribbon. It would be easy to use some left over ribbon from your wrapping or decorating, or pick some up while you are out shopping. Just get a wreath form from a local craft store and wrap it with your favorite ribbon. In no time you will have a new wreath to add to your Christmas decor.

I love this idea of using a grape vine wreath and dressing it up for the holidays. If you don't have a grape vine wreath I would suggest getting one. They are simple and it is very easy to dress them up according to the changing seasons or occasions.

This is my favorite wreath of them all! I am thinking about making a wreath like this from greenery for my own door this year. When you go to pick up your tree, ask if they have any left over greenery (most places will be giving it away for free). Then arrange it how you like and use some thin wire to bundle it. You can attach pinecones, ribbon, berries, or ornaments to dress it up.

Will you be hanging a wreath on your door this year? What kind are you thinking about doing?
