Don't Stop short...

One thing that really bothers me is when I see a gorgeous bathroom in which the shower curtain stops short. It almost makes the room look unfinished in my opinion. Unfortunately I think that the length of the shower curtain is something that most of us don't really think about, since the norm is to post the rod about 7 feet from the ground, many times we dont really think past what is normal to us.

Here is what I mean:

This is a perfect example. This bathroom is really well thought out and has a cohesive design. The shower curtain even seems to be custom made to fit the scheme of the room... however, if the shower curtain had gone all the way to the ceiling the room would have looked more complete.

If you really want to pull your bathroom together and add an element of sophistication, I recommend having a custom curtain made to fit the entire length (floor to ceiling). It really does make a huge difference.

I love the light and dark elements in this bathroom. Have you ever considered adding a curtain in the middle of the room? I love how this curtain creates a sheer divider for the tub.

I also love the band of contrasting color that borders the bottom and leading edge of this curtain.

Having a curtain made to fit your bathroom really makes the room come alive... rather than having the curtain look like it was an afterthought. Plus, it gives you the freedom to really tailor the details to the scheme of your room.

What do you think about floor to ceiling shower curtains?
