Happy 2014 everyone! What a year 2013 was... I am sad to see it go but I am excited about what lies ahead. I wanted to take a moment this morning to thank all of my readers for their support and encouragement along the way. I have grown to love this little blog, but writing it would be no fun without all of you! I really love reading all of your comments and emails. It is so fun to hear your thoughts on things going on in the design world and hear about the projects you are working on in your own home!
I thought this morning it might be fun to take a look back at some of the highlights of the past year here at SBD:
We took a peek at a charming, yet modern farmhouse that I helped renovate this year.
We saw the amazing before and after of my grandmother's antique chair.
I shared with you one of my favorite designers and gave some details on her spread in House Beautiful. I seriously LOVE her house ya'll.
I started a print shop on Etsy! Check it out, and stay tuned for some new designs coming your way soon!
We talked about how to turn inspiration into a reality in your home.
We also discussed a bunch of the latest design trends as well as touching on design elements that are classic and timeless.
And what kind of interior designer/blogger would I be if I didn't share with you some of my inside designer tips every now and then?!
And finally, I launched my E-Design business and it has been such an exciting journey. I think this is the thing I feel the most blessed by through this blog. I have LOVED hearing about your home projects over the years and giving advice here and there but nothing compares to actually getting to work with my readers and watch their homes come to life! Thank you, thank you for giving me such a wonderful opportunity!!
Which brings me to my next point... I am not always one for making New Years resolutions, but here it goes. One of my goals here at SBD is to always be working hard to grow this blog and make it better for YOU, my readers. You guys are the ones that keep me coming back day after day to write about what I am learning and working on in the design field. So my resolution this year is to ask you all what you want to see more of in 2014?
Are there any topics you have questions about? Do you want to see more design board ideas or hear from more guest bloggers? Are you craving more DIY projects? Designer interviews? Before & After's? The floor is yours, and I would really value your feedback. I am excited to hear from you and I cant wait to keep the conversation going into 2014! Cheers!
