My New Bedroom Reveal

As many of you already know I started working on redesigning my bedroom several months ago, and today I am very excited to show you how everything turned out! Thanks for bearing with me as this project took me longer to complete than I expected (which seems to always be the case when I take on personal design projects)

I knew that I wanted my bedroom to reflect my personal style but lean more heavily on the girly side because, well, why not? So I just went for it! I created a color palette that I wanted to work within (above) and then pulled together a design board (below) to give myself a visual starting point.

I ended up ordering this exact headboard and bedside table for my room. I also ordered this mirror for my entry which you will see when I reveal my new living room design (stay tuned).

I used linen fabrics for all of the upholstery, pillows, bedding, etc. I love how soft linen is to the touch and to the eye. I wanted to keep the color palette light and airy, but not too boring so I added a pop of soft blue-green with the lamps.

All of the hardware in the room is antique brass. I also chose accessories and artwork in more muted blush tones to compliment the feel of the entire room. Designing any room does not stop at the furniture selection. Remember to think through the way you style a room because the small things play a big role too.

I added another pop of bold color in this fun pillow. I fell in LOVE with this fabric and although I would love to use it on a larger scale one day it was perfect for this spot in my room. Another thing I was semi-intentional about when thinking about the design of my bedroom is that I wanted the furnishings and decor to have an antique Parisian feel to it. You cant tell in this photo but that artwork is a photo of the Eiffel tower and above it I hung a fun graphic print of macaroons that I found on etsy.

I really love how my bedroom turned out! It was well worth the wait. The next project I am working on is re-designing my living room and then eventually updating the guest bedroom as well. I'll keep you all posted as I move check those off my list!
