Whitney and I had the chance to head to the South of France for a couple days in the middle of our time in paris and I think it ended up being my favorite part of the whole trip. We stayed in Nice and visited Monaco for a day. We wandered around the old town, ate amazing italian food, swam in the Mediterranean Sea and slowed down a little bit. I remember telling Whitney that staying in Nice felt like "a vacation from our vacation." It was a magical time that I will never forget.
This is one of my favorite photos that I took the whole trip! Nice reminded me so much of some of the old towns I visited in Italy while I was studying abroad. The terra cotta colors and the narrow streets made me so nostalgic! Not to mention we ate our weight in gelato and sipped rose on the beach in the afternoons.
We stumbles upon this really amazing open air market. The produce and the flowers were so vibrant in color it was hard for me to take it all in. This region is known for lavender, and there were dozens of stands selling fresh lavender -the smell was incredible. I wish I hadn't packed only a carry on for this little getaway because I wanted to bring back some of the fresh olive oil that we found here. Oh well, next time.
God of mercy, sweet love of mine. I have surrendered to your design. May this offering stretch across the sky, let these hallelujahs be multiplied. -NEEDTOBREATHE
