Thanksgiving in NEXT week! I cant believe it. One of my favorite things about thanksgiving is setting a beautiful table for friends and family to gather around. Believe it or not I am not a huge fan of the traditional Thanksgiving meal (I prefer the "black Friday" leftover turkey sandwich - anyone else with me?). But setting a pretty, festive holiday table is right up my ally! I put together a little inspiration board of the look I am aiming for this year. I want to keep things casual without being overly rustic. I love the idea of using plaid throw blankets in place of a tablecloth and adding a burlap runner down the center of the table. Pumpkins are a must for any Thanksgiving table (before everything switches to Christmas greenery). I think I want to try mixing and matching different styles of white plates and adding antique silverware to dress things up a bit. It's easy to be intimidated by styling a table setting for the holidays, but all you really need is a little inspiration and the right elements to pull it off.
