One of my very best friends is getting married next month and this past weekend we celebrated with her in Charleston. It is such a dreamy city. The food is amazing and so is the architecture. I left icy Nashville and ended up in a pastel wonderland. It was a great weekend full of good friends, food, laughter, and lots of exploring with my camera. If you haven't been to Charleston I definitely recommend putting it on your list!
These are probably two of my favorite photos from the weekend. I took a ton of pictures of iron gates (most of the houses have them) and I loved how this gate was arched in greenery.
I spent so much time wandering around the city admiring the history and the beautiful architecture I almost forgot how close we were to the coast. We walked down to the Battery Sunday afternoon and I was amazed to see so many sail boats and sea gulls coming and going in the harbor.
This might be my favorite photo from the entire trip. We were walking back from brunch and turned a corner to find this restored vintage VW bus just begging to have its picture taken.
Its hard to beat a weekend getaway with your best friends... Charleston was a dream and now I am itching for another adventure.
