Its Christmas week! My family typically lays low on Christmas spending time together at our farm... but that doesn't mean that I don't love a good holiday party or a holiday cocktail! This year I tried making this Cranberry Gin Fizz and it has been a big hit. Whether you are staying home with family this Christmas or throwing a big NYE party, this cocktail is sure to add just the right amount of holiday spirit to your evening.... not to mention that its easy to make!
Cranberry Gin Fizz
- 3 cups of your favorite gin
- 1 1/2 cups of fresh cranberries
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 whole lime peel
Bring the cranberries, sugar and water to a medium simmer. Cook, stirring often, until the cranberries burst (about 5 minutes). Pour the mixture into a pitcher. Stir in the lime peel and gin. Cover and place in the fridge for 4-5 days to let the gin infuse with the cranberry mixture. To serve: pour 1/4 cup of the gin mixture over ice. Top with 1/3 cup tonic water. Enjoy!
