About a year ago I stumbled upon the work of Boston based ceramicist Jill Rosenwald. Her line of ceramics originally caught my eye because of the bright geometric patterns she uses throughout her products. I love finding new vendors in my line of work... especially small business that put the type of thought and creativity into their work as Jill does. I love it when artists and makers take the time to hone their craft and give their products a personal touch. So you can imagine the major "heart eyes" that I had when I saw her collection of modern skinny vases from the Breaker's Splash collection! I absolutely adore the gold abstract brush stroke pattern. The skinny vase is just the right piece to help me add a little bling and some fresh flowers to my dresser this Spring. If you are looking for some really beautiful ceramics, either for yourself or as a gift, definitely make sure to check out Jill's collection.
Also, here is a fun little story to brighten up your Monday... I found that pink blazer last Fall while Whitney and I were traveling in Nice, France (read about our adventure here and here). We took the short train ride over to Monaco for the afternoon one day. For those of you who may not know, Monaco is known for it's high end, luxury shopping. Needless to say Whit and I were more in the market to browse and daydream rather than drop any real cash in Monaco. I spotted a tiny little consignment store and we popped in just to see what they might have. Well, that sweet little pink blazer practically JUMPED off the rack at me.... it is a vintage Valentina blazer so I decided I should at least try it on.. right? It fit like a glove.... think Cinderella trying on the glass slipper... that was me and the Pink V. I remember riding the train home that afternoon with it in my bag and thinking "I'll never forget this moment or this story."
