Inspired Thanksgiving Table Settings

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and will be here before we know it. I am really excited to have some down time and visit with family, but most of all I am excited about eating a big Thanksgiving meal! If you are like me, your family will gather together and have a big lunch or dinner and as fun as that may be it can also be very stressful if you are the one hosting. Well, to avoid at least pat of the stress, do yourself a favor and  get the decorating out of the way no so that when family starts to roll into town you can be ready to go on whatever might come up.

Here are some Thanksgiving table settings to inspire you for this holiday season:

I love the little turkey decorations on this table and the bright tablecloth. Think about layering colors, don't be afraid to use a bright orange or yellow table clothe but counter it with darker brown accents.

I am LOVING these darling pumpkin servers! You can find them here. Think about layering plates, here they have layered multiple plated and then added the pumpkin servers on tip to make an interesting table, you could do this with plates and bowls that you already have.

Adding candles to your table is a must! But don't be afraid to mix and match, thats half the fun! My favorite thing on this table are the darling gold pumpkin candles. Aren't those great? Here is a better picture:

You can find them here.

Don't feel like you need to go all out for a great Thanksgiving table, you can make a gorgeous centerpiece out of things tat are readily available. For example: use some mums and seasonal flowers from the hardware store and pick up a few small pumpkins or gourds while you are there. The best part is, these items will most likely be on sale after Halloween!

Or better yet, why not use a few branches off the tree in the front yard to add a pop of color on your table? I absolutely love this idea!

This is a great idea for a kids table! Cover the table in butcher paper and draw in the place settings with a marker. Not only will it make for less clean up you can keep the kids entertained by letting them draw on it during the meal.

What are your Thanksgiving plans this year? Will you be doing anything special for your table?

Ready For Fall

Fall is DEFINITELY my favorite season. I love so many things about it. I try my best to enjoy the last few days of Summer each year, but as soon as Labor Day is over I am ready to bring on the Fall in full force (even if it is still in the upper 80's in Nashville). Here are a few of the things that I am excited for this Fall...

I can't wait to go to the pumpkin patch and pick out a few really pretty pumpkins and gourds. (yes, I still love going to the pumpkin patch)

I am probably the most excited about the leaves changing and the weather getting cooler.

Nashville is absolutely beautiful in the fall. Just look at this photo I took at Radner lake near our house last year.

I am PUMPED that the Pumpkin Spice latte at Starbuck is BACK! (I am enjoying one right now actually)
